Ingredients: Chili Mac

  • 16 oz bag of elbow noodles
  • 1 lb ground beef 80/20 mix
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 14 oz can of tomato or spaghetti sauce
  • 14 oz can of dice tomatoes, I prefer petite
  • 6 oz can of tomato paste
  • 1/4 onion, chopped
  • 1/4 bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 clove of fresh garlic, chopped
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 salt and pepper
  • 1 dash of red pepper flakes
  • 2 tsp olive oil

How to Make Chili Mac

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 5 steps you must follow to make Chili Mac in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Brown ground beef, onions, and bell pepper. (Drain set aside)
  • Step 2
  • Start large pot filled with water. With a dash of salt and one tsp of olive oil on medium high.
  • Step 3
  • In a large pot add one tsp of olive oil and sautee garlic. Add the sauce, paste, water, and other other seasonings with garlic.
  • Step 4
  • Bring pot to soft boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 20 mins. Add meat and simmer for another 7-10 mins. *if sauce thickens add a little more sauce/water
  • Step 5
  • Add pasta to boiling water and cook until aldente. (Drain) add to meat sauce, mix well, and enjoy.
