  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 cup green pepper, chopped
  • 8 oz tomato sauce
  • 5 1/2 oz tomato juice
  • 15 1/2 oz kidney beans, drained
  • 15 1/2 oz northern beans, drained
  • 2 clove garlic
  • 2 jalapeƱo pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp paprika
  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper

How to Make Chili

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 5 steps you must follow to make Chili in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Cook ground beef, onion, and green pepper until meat is brown and onion is tender.
  • Step 2
  • Drain off fat and put ground beef, onion, and green pepper in large pot.
  • Step 3
  • Stir in remaining ingredients, except for kidney beans and northern beans.
  • Step 4
  • Heat to boiling, then reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 6 - 8 hours.
  • Step 5
  • Stir in kidney beans and northern beans; heat for 5 - 10 minutes.
