  • 1 large onion
  • 3 tsp chili powder
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp pepper
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp dried basil
  • 2 30 oz cans light red kidney beans
  • 1 16oz can of tomatoes cut up or 1 can crushed tomatoes

How to Make chili

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 6 steps you must follow to make chili in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • brown and drain beef
  • Step 2
  • chop onion, add to beef and saute
  • Step 3
  • add to beef chili powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and dried basil
  • Step 4
  • add kidney beans
  • Step 5
  • add tomatoes
  • Step 6
  • simmer on low for one to two hours stirring occasionally
