  • 4 large boiled potatoes
  • 1 tsp chopped garlic
  • 1/2 tsp chopped ginger
  • 4 chopped green chillies
  • 2 tsp tomato ketchup/sauce
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp chilli sauce
  • 6 tbsp cornflour
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 cup water
  • 4 tbsp oil
  • 1 dash of black pepper
  • 1 salt as per requirement
  • 1 chopped corainder leaves
  • 1 sliced spring onions

How to Make Chilli Potatoes (Indian Version)

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 7 steps you must follow to make Chilli Potatoes (Indian Version) in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Peel and cut the boiled potatoes into any shape you like.
  • Step 2
  • For Batter - Mix well the cornflour,salt,black pepper,1 cup of water & bread crumbs in a bowl.
  • Step 3
  • Marinate the sliced potatoes in the batter prepared.
  • Step 4
  • Heat the oil in a deep pan/fryer over a high flame.Add the marinated potatoes and cook for a few minutes till they turn golden brown. Drain on an absorbent paper and keep aside.
  • Step 5
  • In a pan heat the oil (you can use the same oil previously used for frying potatoes). Add the garlic, ginger & green chillies to it and stir-fry for a few seconds.
  • Step 6
  • Add the fried potatoes,tomato ketchup,soya sauce,corainder leaves,chilli sauce and salt to taste.sauté them.
  • Step 7
  • Garnish with spring onions & serve hot.
