  • 1 kg uncooked prawns, if frozen defrost thoroughly
  • 1 Outer skin only of 3-4 large onions
  • water
  • 1 good amount of sea salt
  • dried whole chillies or hot sauce

How to Make Chilli Prawns

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 3 steps you must follow to make Chilli Prawns in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Add all the ingredients to a sauce pan. Add enough water to cover all the prawns. Add a good amount of salt to the water.
  • Step 2
  • Bring to the boil and cook for 3-6 minutes or until the prawns have all turned pink in colour. You don't want to over cook them as they will become tough to eat.
  • Step 3
  • Remove from the boiling pot and let it cool completely. Then serve as you wish and enjoy.
