  • 3 1/2 cup Flour
  • 3/4 cup Sugar
  • 1/3 cup Butter
  • 1 Egg slightly beaten
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Water
  • 3/4 cup Milk
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1/2 cup Shredded coconut (optional)

How to Make Chin chin

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 6 steps you must follow to make Chin chin in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • In a large bowl, sift flour, add sugar, coconut and salt. mix together.
  • Step 2
  • Add butter and egg, using your hand mix very well. It will be crumbly.
  • Step 3
  • Pour milk and water. Mix well into a dough then kneed the dough until smooth
  • Step 4
  • Cut a chunk and roll on an oiled board to a 1/2cm thick. Using a sharp knife or fondant cutter, cut into 1cm*1cm chunks.
  • Step 5
  • Deep fry in hot oil until golden or light brown.
  • Step 6
  • Serve with milk or a drink or jst enjoy it as it is.
