  • 1 tbsp Onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp Cayenne pepper
  • BBQ Sauce
  • ***BBQ Sauce*** >>> 1/2 cup Hoisin sauce
  • 1/4 cup Ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Sherry
  • 1/2 tsp Sesame oil
  • 1/4 tsp Chinese 5 spice
  • 1/4 tsp Powdered ginger
  • 1/4 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp Onion powder

How to Make Chinese BBQ Baby Back Ribs

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 10 steps you must follow to make Chinese BBQ Baby Back Ribs in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • There is enough rub and sauce for 2 racks of baby back ribs.
  • Step 2
  • Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs.
  • Step 3
  • Mix rub ingredients and seasoned ribs well and refrigerate 24 hours. (covered with plastic wrap)
  • Step 4
  • Mix sauce ingredients and refrigerate until needed (no pre cooking required).
  • Step 5
  • Place unlit charcoal on the grill for Indirect Heat.
  • Step 6
  • Add hot charcoal (1/2 full) and a drip pan in the middle. (add water to the pan).
  • Step 7
  • Cook ribs at about 325°F for an hour and a half.
  • Step 8
  • Glaze with bbq sauce. Close the lid and cook for about 10 more minutes.
  • Step 9
  • Glaze with BBQ sauce again and cook for additional 10 minutes or so. Cook and glaze for a third time as well.
  • Step 10
  • "Gently" remove from the grill and let cool for about 15 minutes or so before carving and serving.
