Ingredients: Chipotle and cilantro rice

  • 4 quart water
  • 2 quart par boiled rice
  • 8 each garlic cloves shaved
  • 1 can chipotle peppers in adobo sauce
  • 2 bunch fresh cilantro
  • 1 kosher salt
  • 3 oz veg. oil

How to Make Chipotle and cilantro rice

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 5 steps you must follow to make Chipotle and cilantro rice in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Puree the chipotle peppers
  • Step 2
  • In a 16qt pot add the oil, when hot add the garlic and cook for a minute or untill aromatic.
  • Step 3
  • Add rice and the chipotle peppers with the adobo sauce and mix till rice is bright red, let sit for another minute.
  • Step 4
  • Add water and mix rice.
  • Step 5
  • Bring to boil, once the rice is at the same level as the water reduce fire to medium low heat, cover and let cook for 20 minutes
