Ingredients: Chocolate Banana Mousse

  • 1 tsp Gelatin powder
  • 1 Banana
  • 1 tbsp Rum
  • 1 Egg yolk
  • 30 grams Sugar
  • 150 ml Milk
  • 50 grams Milk chocolate
  • 200 ml Heavy cream

How to Make Chocolate Banana Mousse

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 4 steps you must follow to make Chocolate Banana Mousse in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Soak the gelatin powder in 1 tablespoon of water. Mash the banana with a fork, and sprinkle rum. Finely chop the chocolate.
  • Step 2
  • Add the egg yolk and sugar to a bowl, and mix well with a whisk. Add the milk little by little, and blend in. Put the bowl on medium low heat, and warm the mixture without letting it boil.
  • Step 3
  • Remove from the heat. Add the chocolate and melt it while stirring with a wooden spatula. Microwave the Step 1 gelatin (for about 30 seconds at 600W), and dissolve. Add it to the bowl little by little while mixing well with the whisk.
  • Step 4
  • Add the banana to Step 3, and mix well. Put the bowl over ice-cold water, and mix until the mixture has thickened. Whip the heavy cream in a different bowl until soft peaks form, then add it to the main bowl and mix well. Pour into cups, and chill in the fridge to harden.
