  • 1 each 9" Deep Dish Pie Crust
  • 1 cup Pecans, Halves or Pieces
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar, Packed
  • 1/2 cup Corn Syrup
  • 1/4 cup Bourbon Whisky
  • 1 tbsp Flour
  • 4 each Eggs
  • 1/4 lb Butter, Unsalted (1 Stick)
  • 1/2 cup Semisweet (or bittersweet) chocolate chips

How to Make Chocolate-Bourbon Pecan Pie

    Step 1
  • Preheat oven to 350°F
  • Step 2
  • Gently melt butter on stove top or in a microwave. When the butter is melted, but just before it simmers, add chocolate chips and stir until fully melted.

  • Put pecans into pie crust and set aside.

  • Combine sugars, corn syrup, bourbon, and flour in a bowl and combine thoroughly.

  • Whisk in eggs, two at a time, untill fully incorporated.

  • Slowly whisk in melted butter and chocolate until completely emulsified.
  • Step 7
  • Pour liquid mixture into pie shell.
  • Step 8
  • Bake the pie for 1 hr and 10 min, or until completely set in the middle.

  • Allow to cool completely before slicing.
