Ingredients: Chocolate caramel slice

  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup dessiccated coconut
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • caramel filling
  • 1/3 cup golden syrup
  • 125 grams butter melted
  • 400 grams sweetened condensed milk x 2
  • chocolate topping
  • 185 grams dark chocolate
  • 3 tsp vegetable oil

How to Make Chocolate caramel slice

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 7 steps you must follow to make Chocolate caramel slice in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • preheat oven to 350
  • Step 2
  • place flour, coconut, sugar and butter in a bowl & mix well. Press mix into a 20cm x 30cm slice tin lined with baking paper & bake for 15-18 min or until brown.
  • Step 3
  • To make the caramel filling: place condensed milk, butter & golden syrup in a saucepan over low heat & stir for 7 mins or until the caramel has thickened slightly.
  • Step 4
  • Pour over cooked base and bake for 20 mins or until caramel is golden.
  • Step 5
  • Refrigerate the slice until cold.
  • Step 6
  • To make the chocolate topping: place the chocolate & oil in a saucepan over low heat & stir until melted. Remove from heat and cool slightly before spreading over the slice. Refrigerate until firm :-)
  • Step 7
