Ingredients: Chocolate covered bacon

  • 1 lb. thick cut bacon
  • 6 oz. +- almond bark melting chocolate or your favorite
  • coarse sea salt
  • ground red pepper [optional]
  • wax paper

How to Make Chocolate covered bacon

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 8 steps you must follow to make Chocolate covered bacon in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Cut bacon in half.
  • Step 2
  • Either fry or bake bacon.
  • Step 3
  • Cook until crispy but not burnt. Then drain on paper towels, paper or both till room temperature.
  • Step 4
  • Melt chocolate according to directions on package.
  • Step 5
  • Spoon chocolate onto bacon holding it over the dish. Using back of spoon, even out the chocolate then repeat on flip side of bacon strip.
  • Step 6
  • Lay bacon strip on wax paper. Then on the one side only I sprinkle sea salt on the chocolate end before it sets up. I like red pepper on mine along with the sea salt.
  • Step 7
  • Work with only about 5 pieces at a time otherwise the chocolate may set up before you have a chance to add your seasonings. Then refrigerate for 30 minutes before serving.
  • Step 8
  • Most important step..... ENJOY!
