Ingredients: Chocolate Dream Loaf

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt ( not fat free)
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup butter - softened -12 Tablespoons
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 eggs - room temperature
  • 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips

How to Make Chocolate Dream Loaf

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 5 steps you must follow to make Chocolate Dream Loaf in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Preheat oven to 350º. Butter 2 - 9"x5" loaf pans.I sprayed mine with bakers joy . Or you can use a 10" Bundt pan. Will have to bake longer in bundt pan.
  • Step 2
  • In a bowl, gradually whisk milk into cocoa powder till smooth. Whisk in yogurt. Set aside.
  • Step 3
  • In another bowl , combine dry ingredients. In a large mixing bowl. Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla extract. . Add flour alternating with milk mixture. Making 3 additions of flour and 2 of milk mixture. Fold in chocolate chips.
  • Step 4
  • Spread into prepared pans. Smoothing top Bake 60-70 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
  • Step 5
  • Let cool on a rack 15 minutes. Invert . Remove from pan.cool completely. Store in airtight container. You can also freeze them . ( I made 3 loaf pans - 8" and used mini chocolate chips ).
