  • 50 grams Onion
  • 1 clove Garlic
  • 5 tbsp ●Balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tsp ●Shichimi spice
  • 10 grams ●Walnuts (chopped)
  • 1 tsp each ●Your choice of 1-2 types of dried herbs (basil, rosemary, etc.)
  • 1 ●Dried tomatoes (finely chopped)
  • 2 ●Anchovies (finely chopped)
  • 2 tsp ●Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp ●Salt
  • 1 Olive oil

How to Make Chunky Olive Oil

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 6 steps you must follow to make Chunky Olive Oil in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Mince the onion and the garlic.
  • Step 2
  • Spread Step 1 on a sheet of parchment paper and roast in the oven at 180°C for 10-15 minutes. (It's okay if not every piece browns.)
  • Step 3
  • Place Step 2 and the ● ingredients into a glass jar and mix well. (If you like spiciness, add 2 teaspoons of shichimi spice)
  • Step 4
  • Pour olive oil into the jar from Step 3 until filled to the top and it's done!
  • Step 5
  • You can spread it on bread, use as a salad dressing, use it to marinate fish or meat, etc. It can be used for almost anything you want.
  • Step 6
  • Any herb is fine but I usually use rosemary!
