  • 125 grams Soft Margarine/ butter
  • 125 grams Brown sugar
  • 1 Egg, beaten
  • 225 grams Self- raising flour, sieved
  • 1/2 tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 75 ml Milk
  • 125 grams Chopped Dates

How to Make Cinnamon Date Cake

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 8 steps you must follow to make Cinnamon Date Cake in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Pre-heat the oven to 180 c/ 350 F/ Gas Mark 4
  • Step 2
  • Grease and line the cake tin you are going to use.
  • Step 3
  • Cream the margarine/butter and sugar until light and fluffy
  • Step 4
  • Gradually add the beaten egg to the mixture
  • Step 5
  • Fold and sieve the flour, cinnamon and the milk and dates and mix thoroughly
  • Step 6
  • Put the batter in the tin and place in the oven for 1h to1h and 1/4
  • Step 7
  • Allow to cool slightly before removing from the tin
  • Step 8
