Ingredients: Claypot salmon

  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 200 g or 2 salmon fillets (7oz) each
  • 4 tbsp brown sugar
  • 4 Tbsp fish sauce
  • 2 thinly sliced spring onions

How to Make Claypot salmon

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 3 steps you must follow to make Claypot salmon in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Heat 1 tbsp vegetable oil in a frying pan until smoking. Add 2 salmon fillets and cook until the skins are crisp. Remove and transfer to a claypot or casserole.
  • Step 2
  • Add 4 tbsp brown sugar and 4 tbsp fish sauce to the pan and cook over a low heat until the sugar has completely dissolved.
  • Step 3
  • Pour the caramel sauce into the claypot, cover and simmer for 15 mins or until the salmon is cooked to your liking. Serve sprinkled with 2 spring onions and accompanied by cooked rice.
