Ingredients: Coconut Bars

  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
  • 1 1/2 cup graham cracker crumbs (can add 1 cup crumbs if crust is too thin)
  • 1 can 14oz. Eagle sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cup semisweet chocolate chips morsels
  • 1 1/3 cup coconut flakes
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

How to Make Coconut Bars

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 5 steps you must follow to make Coconut Bars in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Preheat oven to 350° (325° for glass dish) and coat 13x9 baking pan with no stick cooking spray.
  • Step 2
  • Combine graham cracker crumbs (can use already made crumbs or put graham crackers in ziplock bag and crush with your hands) and melted butter and press into bottom of pan.
  • Step 3
  • Pour sweetened condensed milk evenly over crumb mixture. Can use spatula to help spread it.
  • Step 4
  • Layer evenly with chocolate chips, coconut flakes, and chopped walnuts. Press down firmly with a fork evenly over mixture.
  • Step 5
  • Bake for 25 minutes in oven or until coconut flakes are lightly brown. Let it cool then cut into small squares/bars. Store covered at room temperature.
