  • 100 grams peeled Potatoes
  • 50 grams Cake flour
  • 1/4 tsp Baking powder
  • 1 tbsp Vegetable oil
  • 2 tsp Granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp Consommé soup stock granules

How to Make Consommé Potato Sticks

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 8 steps you must follow to make Consommé Potato Sticks in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Boil or microwave the potato (about 3 minutes at 500 to 600w). Peel while it's still hot and mash.
  • Step 2
  • Add the vegetable oil and mix well.
  • Step 3
  • Add the granulated sugar and consommé soup stock, and mix well.
  • Step 4
  • Combine the cake flour and baking powder, and sift into the bowl from Step 3. Mix well and press together into a ball using a spatula.
  • Step 5
  • Lay a sheet of kitchen parchment paper on a flat surface. Using a rolling pin, roll the dough out on top of the paper into a rectangle that is about 5 mm thick. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • Step 6
  • Cut into about 1 cm wide sticks. Make a little space in between each stick, and put the whole sheet of paper on a baking tray.
  • Step 7
  • Bake in a 180°C oven for about 15 minutes. Lower the temperature to 150°C and bake to dry the sticks out for about 10 minutes. Take the baked sticks out and cool on a rack.
  • Step 8
  • Even if you don't bake until crisp in the oven, they crisp when cooled. If you are going to eat them right away, I recommend taking them out a bit earlier.
