  • 4 cup flour
  • 4 cup sugar
  • 4 cup buttermilk
  • 2 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 8 each eggs
  • 3 each jalapenos
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 4 cup polenta

How to Make Cornbread

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 8 steps you must follow to make Cornbread in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • Step 2
  • Chop jalapenos and add to melted butter. Add to sugar and set aside.
  • Step 3
  • In another bowl, mix flour, polenta, salt and baking soda together.
  • Step 4
  • In another bowl, whisk eggs lightly.
  • Step 5
  • Combine buttermilk and baking soda together and whisk until baking soda starts to bubble up.
  • Step 6
  • Quickly add to eggs and mix well.
  • Step 7
  • Add egg mixture to sugar mixture and then add all to flour mixture.
  • Step 8
  • Mix well and pour into a well greased pan and bake for 30-35 minutes.
