  • 3/4 lb Extra lean ground beef
  • 1 each Medium onion, chopped
  • 2 clove Garlic, minced
  • 1 can Stewed tomatoes (15oz)
  • 1 cup Beef broth
  • 1 tbsp Chili powder
  • 1 tsp Ground cumin
  • 1 tsp Dried oregano leaves
  • 3/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Cayenne pepper
  • 1 can Pinto beans

How to Make Cowboy Chili

    Step 1
  • Crumble ground beef into heavy pot.
  • Step 2
  • Add onion and garlic.
  • Step 3
  • Cook over high heat until meat is browned, about 10 min

  • Add tomatoes, beef broth, chili powder, oregano,salt and cayenne.

  • Cover, simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally

  • Add beans

  • Simmer 30 min more. Add water if chili becomes too thick
