  • 5 slice Bacon, chopped
  • 1/2 Red Onion, diced to desired thickness
  • 3 clove Garlic
  • 1 can Chicken Broth
  • 1 can Rotel
  • 1 can Black Beans
  • 1 can Pinto Beans
  • 1 tsp Ketchup
  • 1 Lemon, juiced
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 bunch Cilantro, finely chopped
  • Shredded Cheese
  • Sour Cream
  • 1 Taco Seasoning, to taste

How to Make Cozy Bean Soup

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 6 steps you must follow to make Cozy Bean Soup in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Place your chopped bacon in a skillet or pan on medium high heat. Cook it until it starts to lose fat (about 5 minutes.)
  • Step 2
  • Add in your red onion and cook it along with the bacon until it becomes translucent (about 4-5 minutes.)
  • Step 3
  • Add in your chopped fresh garlic and cook it until you can smell it (about one minute.)
  • Step 4
  • Now it's time to add all of your canned ingredients (chicken broth, rotel, and black + pinto beans) and your lemon, ketchup, worcestershire sauce and taco seasoning. Bring to a boil. I like to add a dash of red pepper flakes at this point, but that is totally optional!
  • Step 5
  • After about 15 minutes of boiling, add in your cilantro. Cook for 5 more minutes.
  • Step 6
  • Serve immediately with shredded cheese and sour cream to garnish.
