  • 1 bechamel sause below
  • 5 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 cup whole milked, warm
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp freshly ground white pepper
  • 1 pinch freshly graded nutmeg

  • cook pasta in a large pan for about 8 to 10 minutes

  • gradually add the warm milk, until sauce is thick, smooth, and creamy. about 10 minutes. (do not boil)
  • Step 12
  • remove from heat . stir in salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
  • Step 13
  • sause can be made up to 3 days in advance.
