  • 1/2 lb small scallops
  • 3/4 cup crushed oyster crackers
  • 1/2 cup mixed (white&regular) mild shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tbsp onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp red pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1/2 tbsp old bay seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

How to Make Crab and scallop cakes

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 5 steps you must follow to make Crab and scallop cakes in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Mix all the ingredients in bowl, except for the peanut oil.
  • Step 2
  • Form crab mixture into equal patties, approximately three inches in diameter.
  • Step 3
  • In a sauté pan heat 2 tablespoons of peanut oil.
  • Step 4
  • Brown on one side approximately two-to-three minutes. Turn and brown the other side.
  • Step 5
  • Turn down heat and simmer crab cakes another 5-8 minutes.
