  • 8 small red potatoes
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp cajun seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp black peppet
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 tbsp grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 FOR DIP
  • 1 tbsp chopped chives
  • 1/2 cup sour cream

How to Make Crash Potatos

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 9 steps you must follow to make Crash Potatos in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Cover potatos with salted water bring to a boil and cook until tender then cool. This can be done a day or two in advance, keep chilled.
  • Step 2
  • Preheat oven to 460.
  • Step 3
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil and spray with non stick spray
  • Step 4
  • In a bowl combine olive oil with garlic, seasonings and cheese, whisk to combine
  • Step 5
  • Place potatos on prepared baking pan, gently, using the palm of your hand crush potatoes to about 1/4 inche thick trying to keep potato intact, if it breaks apart just push it together
  • Step 6
  • Brush each potato top generously with olive oil mixture.
  • Step 7
  • Bake 30 to 45 minutes depending on potato size until golden and crispy.
  • Step 8
  • Mix the sour cream with the chives and serve with hot potatos
  • Step 9
  • This potato dish is good as a side dish but makes a good appetizer as well!!
