  • 2 onions, chopped or minced
  • 2 cup celery
  • 3 clove garlic
  • 1 dash salt and pepper
  • 1 can tomato sauce (10 oz)
  • 1 can water
  • 1 can whole or diced tomatoes (lg can)
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1 tbsp creole or old bays seasoning
  • 6 whole okra (optional)
  • 1 tbsp sugar (optional)

How to Make Crawfish (Cajun) Piquant

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 7 steps you must follow to make Crawfish (Cajun) Piquant in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • saute onion, celery, garlic, and bell pepper.
  • Step 2
  • add tomato products and water..
  • Step 3
  • add s&p and old bays seasoning...
  • Step 4
  • allow to get hot... turn down to Med/ low and cook for 45 minutes.

  • add crawfish and allow to cook for 30 more minutes..
  • Step 6
  • serve over rice...
  • Step 7
  • review said that tomato made it seem acidic .... add about 1 Tbsp of sugar to cut this.... taste ....add 1/2 tsp after that until u get the taste u want..... does not make sweet but it does cut through the tomato taste
