  • 1 3/4 teaspoon butter
  • 1/4 can (10 3/4 ounce) condensed cream of mushroom soup.
  • 1/3 cup and 1 teaspoon water, or as needed
  • 1/4 (12 fluid ounces) can evaporated milk
  • 1/4 onion, chopped
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • 9 oz stainless, boneless chicken breast halves - cubed
  • 1/4 (6 ounce) can sliced mushrooms drained

How to Make Cream of Mushroom Chicken

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 5 steps you must follow to make Cream of Mushroom Chicken in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • In a large saucepan, melt the butter/ margarine. Add the soup, water and milk. Stir together over medium heat. Add the onion, salt and pepper and bring to a boil.
  • Step 2
  • When mixture starts boiling add the chicken and simmer all together until chicken is cooked through. Add the sliced mushrooms and boil over medium heat for about 5 minutes, stirring often. Serve

  • ***You can use milk instead of water, can be 2% or evaporated milk. Can put green beans or carrots or celery in this dish up to the cook.

  • This recipe can also be done in the oven.
