  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil, extra virgin
  • 1/4 cup white wine
  • 1 can chicken stock
  • 3 tbsp dry sherry
  • 2/3 cup heavy cream
  • salt
  • ground black pepper
  • sweet paprika
  • garlic powder

How to Make Cream of Mushroom Soup

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 6 steps you must follow to make Cream of Mushroom Soup in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Add butter and olive oil to a large saucepan and melt over medium high heat.
  • Step 2
  • Add garlic, leeks, shallots, and mushrooms to hot butter and oil.

  • Cook until soft and fragrant, about ten minutes.

  • Add Sherry and white wine and cook until liquids are mostly evaporated. About ten minutes.
