  • 1/3 cup whipping cream
  • 2 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 2 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 3 tsp vanilla

How to Make Cream Wafers

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 5 steps you must follow to make Cream Wafers in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Preheat oven to 375°F. Combine first four ingredients and chill for about 20 minutes.
  • Step 2
  • Roll dough 1/8" thick. Cut into 1" to 1.5" rounds (although we often use star or petal shaped cutters). Transfer to wax paper and sprinkle with sugar. Turn to coat both sides.
  • Step 3
  • Place on un-greased baking sheet. Prick in 4 places with a fork. Bake 7 - 9 minutes or until slightly puffy. Cool.
  • Step 4
  • While cookies are cooling, make the filling by blending the next four ingredients. Tint with food coloring.
  • Step 5
  • Spread the filling on cooled cookie and put together like a little sandwich.
