  • 3 large Potatos
  • 1/2 packages Bacon
  • 6 Thin scallions
  • 1 Green Bell Pepper
  • 1 as needed Chicken Broth
  • 1 as needed Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 1/3 stick Butter
  • 1/3 stick Cream Cheese
  • 3/4 cup Milk
  • 3 pinch Flour
  • 1 Salt
  • 1 Cracked Pepper
  • 1 Garlic Powder or Minced Garlic

How to Make Creamy Baked Potato Soup

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 10 steps you must follow to make Creamy Baked Potato Soup in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Fry bacon in pan and cut potatoes into chunks.
  • Step 2
  • Put potatoes into pot and fill pot to right above potatoes with chicken broth. Bring to boil, then simmer.
  • Step 3
  • Chop green onions and dice bell pepper. Leave two of the green onion tubes fresh.
  • Step 4
  • When bacon is fried remove and set aside. Now begin to sauté the onions and the bell pepper in the bacon grease. (Add vegetable oil if needed)
  • Step 5
  • Add the butter, cream cheese, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder to the potatoes.
  • Step 6
  • When veggies are sautéd, add to the potatoes along with the crumbled bacon.
  • Step 7
  • Add milk and cheese and return to boil.
  • Step 8
  • Once boiling begin to add flour until soup reaches desired consistency. Reduce to simmer.
  • Step 9
  • You can serve in bowls and use the fresh scallion tubes you set aside on top of the servings along with more shredded cheese.
