  • 1 can crushed tomatoes (14.5 oz.)
  • 2 tsp pesto
  • 1/4 cup fresh chopped basil
  • 1/4 cup diced sauteed onions
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 2 cup cooked cut chicken breast (optional:and add at the end to pasta)
  • seasoning and spices
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 dash italian seasoning
  • 1 dash onion powder
  • 1 dash dill

How to Make Creamy Basil Fettucine

    Step 1
  • melt butter with pesto and olive oil in large saucepan and add white wine
  • Step 2
  • add all pepper.sauteed onion.basil.and rest of seasonings.
  • Step 3
  • simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Step 4
  • add heavy cream.and simmer for.10 minutes.stirring frequently.
  • Step 5
  • add grated cheese and simmer an additional 5 minutes.
  • Step 6
  • gradually add the crushed tomatoes stirring frequently
  • Step 7
  • cook over medium low and simmer for 10-15
  • Step 8
  • boil pasta. pour sauce over fettucine....(sauce needs 10 min or so to thicken)
  • Step 9
  • enjoy! (toss with cooked chicken breast if desired)
