  • 1-9 " Baked pastry shell
  • 3 oz unsweetened chocolate
  • 14 oz sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 16 oz whipped cream

How to Make Creamy Chocolate Pie

    Step 1
  • In saucepan, over medium heat, melt chocolate with sweetened condensed milk & salt. Cook & stir until very thick & bubbly, 5-8 minutes. Add water & egg yolks. Cook & stir rapidly until mixture thickens & bubbles again. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla.
  • Step 2
  • Pour into large bowl. Chill thoroughly. Beat until smooth. Fold in 1 cup whipped cream. Pour into prepared pastry shell.
  • Step 3
  • Chill for 3 hrs or until set. Top with additional whipped cream. Keep refrigerated.
