  • 10 grams Katakuriko (or cake flour)

  • 1 tbsp *Milk (water)
  • 1 dash more than 2 handfulls * Cheese

How to Make Crispy Cheese Cookies

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 8 steps you must follow to make Crispy Cheese Cookies in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Chop up the cheese (if you freeze it it's really easy to bread up.) Bring the butter to room temperature. (Microwave for 10-15 seconds at 500 W.)
  • Step 2
  • Put the ingredients marked with a * into a bowl in the order listed and mix. Cut in the floury ingredients with a spatula. (Don't knead the mixture.)
  • Step 3
  • Wrap the dough and form it into a stick shape. Slice into 5 mm-thick.
  • Step 4
  • Bake for 14-16 minutes at 180℃. When the edges have browned slightly, let them cool down and they're done. (Adjust the baking time to your oven.)
  • Step 5
  • Shape it into a rectangular stick and let rest on its long side.
  • Step 6
  • Cut it. If the bottom looses its shape as you slice...
  • Step 7
  • ...hold the bit that sticks out between your fingers. (Don't touch the knife.)
  • Step 8
  • This is what they look like sliced and laid out. If you like, sprinkle some table salt on here, and then bake in the oven.
