  • 1 Chikuwa
  • 1 Mayonnaise
  • 1 Panko
  • 1 Fresh parsley

How to Make Crispy Chikuwa

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 4 steps you must follow to make Crispy Chikuwa in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Cut the chikuwa into half lengthwise and crosswise. (I used half the portion in the picture to make it easier to follow.)
  • Step 2
  • Squirt a suitable amount of mayonnaise into the hollows of the chikuwa. (This time I used mentaiko - cod roe and mayonnaise. It was spicy and delicious)
  • Step 3
  • Sprinkle panko and parsley on top.
  • Step 4
  • Place parchment paper or aluminum foil in a tray and add Step 3, and bake in a toaster oven until lightly browned. It took 3 minutes in our toaster oven.
