Ingredients: Crockpot Sausage and Beans

  • 1 lb kalbasa
  • 1 lb hot sausage (or mild)
  • 10 oz navy beans (I used frozen)
  • 10 oz black beans (I used frozen)
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 jalapenos, sliced
  • 4 clove garlic, minced
  • 24 oz tomatoes, diced can
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 4 Sazon seasoning from Goya
  • 3 cup warm water
  • 1 salt and pepper
  • 2 beef bouillon cubes
  • 1 loaf corn bread

How to Make Crockpot Sausage and Beans

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 6 steps you must follow to make Crockpot Sausage and Beans in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Cook the sausage and kalbasa. I used my grill but you can fry or bake.
  • Step 2
  • While the meat is cooking, put all of the remaining ingredients in a crockpot and stir till combined.
  • Step 3
  • When meats are cooked, slice at an angle about 3/8" thick. Place into crockpot and stir till combined.
  • Step 4
  • Turn crockpot on low for 8-10 hours or high for 4-5 hours.
  • Step 5
  • I made my own corn bread with corn and jalapenos but feel free to buy a loaf if that works better for you.
  • Step 6
  • When proper time has passed, remove bay leaf. Place a piece of corn bread in a bowl and scoop the sausage and beans on to and enjoy.
