  • 3/4 tsp Salt
  • 1 1/2 cup Quick cooking grits

  • 6 Green onions, chopped
  • 2 Garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 1/2 lb Shrimp, peeled and cleaned
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 1 1/2 cup Shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 1/2 cup Shredded monterey jack cheese
  • 2 can Diced tomatoes and green chilis, drained
  • 1/4 tsp Cayene pepper

How to Make Crockpot Shrimp and Grits

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 4 steps you must follow to make Crockpot Shrimp and Grits in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Combine chicken broth, salt and grits in crockpot and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours.
  • Step 2
  • 2 hours before serving saute peppers, onions, garlic and shrimp in 2 tablespoons butter until tender.
  • Step 3
  • Add this mixture to the crockpot along with the cheeses, tomatoes and chilis and cayene.
  • Step 4
  • Continue to cook on high for additional 2 hours.
