Ingredients: Crostata

  • 300 grams flour
  • 125 grams butter
  • 125 grams powdered sugar
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 egg whites
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 preferred jam (I used plum)

How to Make Crostata

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 9 steps you must follow to make Crostata in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • In a bowl, work the butter with a fork until smooth and soft
  • Step 2
  • Scrape the lemon, and put the peel in the butter
  • Step 3
  • Add the flour, sugar, egg yolks, egg white, salt, squeezed lemon juice, and mix until homogeneous
  • Step 4
  • Place mixture in fridge for 15 minutes
  • Step 5
  • In a round pan, spread evenly 3/4 of the mixture
  • Step 6
  • Spread an even layer of your preferred jam on top (I used plum jam)
  • Step 7
  • With what is left of the butter and flour mixture, make thin stripes and decorate your crostata in a criss cross manner, as shown in the picture
  • Step 8
  • Place in a pre-heated oven at 200°C for 10-15 minutes
  • Step 9
  • Serve after it has completely cooled off and hardened. ENJOY!!!
