  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 can 12 oz evaporated milk
  • 1/4 cup sweet orange marmalade
  • 1 tbsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 loaf 8 oz cuban bread or french bread baguette
  • 2 tbsp canola oil
  • 1 can 14 oz sweetend condensed milk

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 9 steps you must follow to make cuban french toast in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • pre heat oven to 325°F.
  • Step 2
  • stir sugar and cinnamon in a large bowl add eggs whisking until blended mix in evaporated milk, marmalade and vanilla
  • Step 3
  • cut bread on a diagonal into 16 1/4 inch thick slices
  • Step 4
  • add 1/2 of the bread slices to egg mixture and soak for about 2 minutes on each side
  • Step 5
  • heat oil in a large non stick skillet
  • Step 6
  • remove soaked bread from egg mixture cook in hot oil untill golden brown on each side
  • Step 7
  • place cooked french toast on a foil lined baking sheet
  • Step 8
  • repeat to prepare and cook remaining french toast
  • Step 9
  • bake for 10 minutes and serve drizzled with sweetened condensed milk
