  • 25 g white til
  • 25 g channa dal
  • 25 g urad dal split
  • 12 guntur chillies
  • 2 tbsp chutney dal
  • pinch hing and salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp jaggery

How to Make Dal Podi

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 4 steps you must follow to make Dal Podi in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Roast the channa dal and urad dal separately and coarsely grind
  • Step 2
  • Roast the chillies and til separately with a little oil
  • Step 3
  • Add a pinch of hing and the tbsp of jaggery and chutney dal to til and chillies and grind to fine powder
  • Step 4
  • Mix both powders, add salt to taste and serve with rice or idlis
