  • 500 g white flour
  • 250 ml milk (warm)
  • 1 eggs
  • 40 g sugar
  • 50 g soft butter
  • 25 g fresh yeast

How to Make Danubio

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 11 steps you must follow to make Danubio in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Add yeast to the warmed milk
  • Step 2
  • Add sugar, eggs, melted butter and a pinch of salt to the milk.
  • Step 3
  • Slowly add the flour and knead until a dough
  • Step 4
  • Set the dough to rise in a warm place, loosely covered in cling film for 1 hour.
  • Step 5
  • Cut the dough into 40g pieces and roll out
  • Step 6
  • Add filling (cheese & ham) and make a ball around it with the dough.
  • Step 7
  • Grease and paper a large round baking tray
  • Step 8
  • Stuff the balls tightly into the baking tray
  • Step 9
  • Leave filled balls to rise for another .5 hours.
  • Step 10
  • Brush lightly with egg yolk and milk.
  • Step 11
  • Bake in a pre heated oven at 170° for 30 minutes or until brown on top.
