  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1/2 tsp cooking soda
  • 115 grams butter
  • 115 grams granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 85 grams flour
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 55 grams chopped walnuts

  • Present heat oven at 80°C for 40 minutes.
  • Step 2
  • Stone dates. Chop it into small pieces. Soak the chopped dates in sufficient boiling water to cover the dates. Add 1/2 teaspoon of cooking soda. Cover and let it stand.

  • Cream butter and sugar till the sugar has completely melted.
