How to Make Decorated Christmas Cake

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 13 steps you must follow to make Decorated Christmas Cake in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Make the sponge cake, and slice into thirds. Combine the cream ingredients and whip.
  • Step 2
  • Boil the water for the syrup. Dissolve the sugar in the water to make the syrup.
  • Step 3
  • Brush the sponge cake with syrup, and spread some cream on top.
  • Step 4
  • Slice 4 strawberries and place on top. It will become difficult to cut the cake, so do not place the strawberries in the center. Place the strawberries so that they are hidden by the cream, and cover with another slice of sponge cake.
  • Step 5
  • Repeat the third tier in the same manner.
  • Step 6
  • Transfer the cake onto a turntable, and lightly coat the entire cake with cream.
  • Step 7
  • Cover the sides of the cake with cream using a palette knife. Make sure to fill in the crevices.
  • Step 8
  • Now spread lots of cream on top.
  • Step 9
  • Use the palette knife to make a wave pattern on the sides.
  • Step 10
  • Smooth out the top neatly.
  • Step 11
  • Decorate the sides with silver dragées.
  • Step 12
  • Use a rose shaped tip to pipe out frills with the cream. Go around the outer edge once, and then go around once more on the inside of the first round.
  • Step 13
  • Then just decorate with your favorite fruits, and it's done!
