Ingredients: Deep Fried Cajun Catfish Fingers

  • 2 lb catfish fillets, thicker ones
  • 2 cup flour, I used bread flour but regular white flour will do fine.
  • 1 alot of premade cajun seasoning, your favorite brand or make youre own
  • 1 vegetable oil,.enough to completely cover and deep fry your fish.
  • 1 pepper to taste

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 14 steps you must follow to make Deep Fried Cajun Catfish Fingers in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • in a pot preheat oil until hot. or use a deep fryer, I just don't have one.
  • Step 2
  • rinse catfish and let drain, do not pat dry.
  • Step 3
  • slice catfish into finger sized strips.
  • Step 4
  • arrange onto a plate and sprinkle allot of the cajun seasoning on them. its your choice on how much but i like allot.. see photo.. ( I don't really measure this part)
  • Step 5
  • place flour into a big bowl or gallon sized zipper bag.
  • Step 6
  • place catfish into flour and sprinkle some more cajun stuff on them. not as much as last time. just a bit to get the parts that don't have any. :)
  • Step 7
  • toss to coat fish fully in the flour.
  • Step 8
  • drop catfish fingers into your hot oil.. be sure not to crowd them.
  • Step 9
  • fry until browned and crisp.
  • Step 10
  • transfer to paper towel lined plate.
  • Step 11
  • immedietly sprinkle with a bit more cajun and pepper to taste.
  • Step 12
  • serve!
  • Step 13
  • I serve mine with seasoned curly fries and fresh sliced cucumber.
  • Step 14
  • serves about 3-4 people unless your really hungry! ;)
