  • 1 Green onions (chopped)
  • Sauce
  • 100 ml Water
  • 2 tbsp Mentsuyu (3x concentrate)
  • 2 1/2 tbsp Mirin
  • 1/4 tsp Dashi stock granules

How to Make Deep-Fried Tofu in Sauce with Atsuage

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 5 steps you must follow to make Deep-Fried Tofu in Sauce with Atsuage in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • (Make the sauce) Put all of the sauce ingredients into a heat-resistant container and microwave for 1.5 minutes at 600 W.

  • You could also put the ingredients into a pot and bring to a boil.

  • Cut the atsuage into bite-sized pieces.
  • Step 4
  • Heat the frying pan and then add the vegetable oil. Put in the atsuage and fry both sides. (if you cover with a lid, they'll plump up).

  • Place the atsuage from Step 4 onto a dish and top with the well-strained grated daikon radish. Then pour on the sauce from Step 1 and garnish with green onions.
