  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 stick celery (chopped)
  • 1 medium onion (minced)
  • 1 medium bell pepper (chopped)
  • 1 lb turkey kielbasa (chopped, half moons)
  • 2 clove garlic (minced)
  • 1 1/2 tsp old bay seasoning
  • 1 dash hot sauce (to taste)
  • 1 pinch red pepper flakes (to taste)
  • 3 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 14 oz crushed tomatoes (1 can)
  • 1 cup long grain rice
  • 2 dried bay leaves

How to Make Easy Jambalaya

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 5 steps you must follow to make Easy Jambalaya in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • In a dutch oven, heat oil over medium low heat and cook vegetables until tender, about 8-10 minutes.
  • Step 2
  • Add kielbasa and cook 3 more minutes. Add garlic and stir constantly for 30 seconds.
  • Step 3
  • Add in seasoning, hot sauce and pepper flakes, chicken broth, water, and crushed tomatoes. Bring the whole mixture to a boil and add the rice and bay leaves. Let the mixture simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Step 4
  • Stir, cover, and let cook another 10 minutes or until rice is tender and most of the liquid has been absorbed.
