  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1/2 piece red pepper
  • 1 large carrot
  • 1 can lentils
  • 1 tsp spicy pepper paste or 1 tomato
  • 2 clove garlic
  • tsp salt

How to Make Easy Lentil Soup

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 6 steps you must follow to make Easy Lentil Soup in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Chop the onion, pepper, and carrot into small pieces.
  • Step 2
  • Put the chopped veggies in a pot with some oil and saute them.
  • Step 3
  • In the mean time chop the garlic cloves.
  • Step 4
  • Season the veggies with salt and pepper. When the onions are gold and the carrots are soft add the chopped garlic and continue frying for 2 minutes.
  • Step 5
  • Add 4 cups of water and the lentils. Boil for about thirty minutes. Season with salt and pepper as necessary.
  • Step 6
  • Garnish (10 minutes before the end of the cooking time) with spicy pepper paste or 1 tomato and chopped greens if you have them.
