  • 2 1/2 tbsp All Purpose Flour
  • 1 1/4 cup Whole Milk

    Step 1
  • Brown the uncooked sausage in a medium sized skillet until throughly cooked.
  • Step 2
  • Remove the sausage with a slotted spoon and set aside. You want to use the grease from it.
  • Step 3
  • On low to medium heat stir the flour in the grease until it turns light brown and well blended. The consistency should be smooth, not chunky. If it's chunky, add a little vegetable oil and blend it in.
  • Step 4
  • Now slowly add in the milk, stirring constantly.
  • Step 5
  • Add your salt and pepper.
  • Step 6
  • Keep stirring until the gravy thickens. Make sure that everything is well blended.
  • Step 7
  • Now add the sausage in and heat for another minute.
  • Step 8
  • Serve over biscuit, steak, eggs, or eat alone.
  • Step 9
  • Note: To thicken the gravy, add more flour. To thin it out, add HOT water. You can also make this with bacon grease, hamburger grease, or just vegetable oil.
