  • 1 large eggplanet
  • 1/4 kg minced beef
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 3 clove garlic
  • 1 medium lemon
  • 1 small black pepper
  • 1 salt
  • 1 shreds of pitta bread
  • 1/4 cup tahini
  • 1 pinch of pine

How to Make Eggplant Fittah

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 6 steps you must follow to make Eggplant Fittah in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Preheat the oven, and shred the pitta bread into small pieces. Put them in an oven tray until toasted.
  • Step 2
  • In a frying pan, add small amount of vegetable oil. Put the minced beef, season with pepper and salt, to taste, and keep stiring untill well done. Leave it aside.
  • Step 3
  • In a bowl, mix the yogurt, tahini, garlic and the squeeze of the lemon. That would be the sauce of tjis recipe.
  • Step 4
  • Cut the eggplant into small cubes then fry.
  • Step 5
  • Slice the big onion, then carmelize in a separate pan.
  • Step 6
  • In a large plate, arrange first the toasted bread, a layer of eggplant and a layer of minced beef then add the sauce of yogurt.On the top, put the caramelized onions and roasted pine.
