  • 450 grams butter, softened
  • 200 grams Caster Sugar
  • 500 grams Plain Flour, sifted

How to Make Empire Biscuits

    Step 1
  • Preheat oven to 180C/gas mark 4. line baking trays with baking parchment.
  • Step 2
  • cream together butter and sugar until fluffy and white. Gradually stir in the flour until well blended. On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough out to about 5mm thickness. Cut into circles using a pastry or cookie cutter.
  • Step 3
  • Bake in preheated oven for 8-10mins or until golden brown. Allow biscuits to cool on baking trays for 5 mins before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Step 4
  • Optional: Spread icing or any topping of your choice over the biscuit. ENJOY!
