  • 4 piece Endive or chicory
  • 4 slice Ham
  • 50 grams Grated cheese
  • 30 grams butter
  • 25 grams all-purpose flour
  • 35 ml milk
  • 1 salt & pepper

How to Make Endives au jambon

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 8 steps you must follow to make Endives au jambon in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Steam the chicories/endives for 15minutes
  • Step 2
  • Preheat the oven to 210°C
  • Step 3
  • Melt 25g of butter in a sauce pot and whisk the flour ensuring that it doesn't burn.
  • Step 4
  • Add the milk until and whisk until the sauce bubbles. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  • Step 5
  • Pat dry the chicories and pan fry them in the remaining 5g butter for about 3min.
  • Step 6
  • Wrap the ham around the chicory and place them in a baking dish.
  • Step 7
  • Pour the creamy sauce over the wrapped chicories and sprinkle the grated cheese.
  • Step 8
  • Bake for 15mins or until golden brown.
