  • 1 can kidney beans

  • 12 oz salsa
  • 1 can crushed tomatoes (24oz.)
  • 1/4 cup sugar

    Step 1
  • blanch the beans and brown the beef in a large pot
  • Step 2
  • meanwhile dice onions
  • Step 3
  • drain the beef and beans, then add onions
  • Step 4
  • simmer on medium heat, covered for 15 minutes
  • Step 5
  • add crushed tomatoes, beer, and salsa
  • Step 6
  • simmer on low heat for 15 minutes
  • Step 7
  • add remaining ingredients. do not follow the instruction on the chili kit. add spice to your taste. it should be thick enough to forgo the flour, saving some calories
  • Step 8
  • simmer for another 15 minutes, then serve hot
